It seems that very few people around here know what Twitter is. Twitter is what is known as a microblog. It allows users to make posts using only 140 characters (Note: 140 characters is the maximum length of a standard text message). Essentially, it allows users to make an update about what they are up to or thinking or whatever.

The fun thing about Twitter is that you can use it however you want. For me, Twitter allows me to keep a few people around me up to date on what I’m thinking and allows me to interact with other local tech-junkies. It also gives me direct access to people who I admire, minor celebrities in the tech industry.

I highly recommend it for all my friends. Give it a go, and see if you like it.

Don’t get me wrong; I love Twitter, but it is constantly crashing. This causes my site to hang up when it tries to load the Twitter widget. It is time that the people who run Twitter to kindly remove their heads from their asses and get on the ball. I’m willing to take a few advertisements inserted into my feed if it means that they will upgrade the servers and Twitter will be stable. Besides, I’m sure there’s a VC somewhere out there waiting to get paid. For now, I have taken the Twitter widget off the sidebar. I’ll put it back up soon. You can see my Twitter feed here. Update: Alright, Twitter is back, so I put the widget back. There are reports of ads, so hopefully that means more stable service.
