I feel bad because I’ve been completely neglecting this site lately. I’m not really sure why. One reason is that Digg (one of my favorite content sources) hasn’t kept me captivated like it used to. My plan right now is to actually start putting up some personal posts on here and actually make it more my site instead of just a place for me to post funny videos. Any requests you guys would like me to post about? Games? Comics? Apple Products? Hockey? College football? Me starting to go back to the gym?

Just out of curiosity, does anybody still check this site? Post a comment if you do.

Anyway, I’m off to vote.

Well there seems to be something up with my style sheet, and it’s causing my website colors to be a little screwed up. The content is still here, but I don’t have to time to try to fix it right now. I’ll try updating the software and see if I can fix it tonight.

Update: After beating my head against my desk for a couple hours, I finally figured out that Sarah Palin was in fact causing my website formatting to screw up. This is further proof that…well honestly I don’t care that much about the election right now.

I just downloaded the WordPress app for my iPhone and wanted to play with it. I wonder if there’s a way to add pictures to my posts short of memorizing HTML and URLs.

I’m going to use this site for a couple of projects that I’m going to start in the next couple of weeks. First, I’m going to experiment with setting up my own portfolio based on what I learned in my Portfolio Management class. Second, I’m going to compete in a “biggest loser” competition with a couple of people I know. It’s time for me to get serious about getting back in shape.

I’m also working on finding a job and reading the incredible stack of books I have piled up. I’ll probably be posting about my progress in these areas soon.

It seems that very few people around here know what Twitter is. Twitter is what is known as a microblog. It allows users to make posts using only 140 characters (Note: 140 characters is the maximum length of a standard text message). Essentially, it allows users to make an update about what they are up to or thinking or whatever.

The fun thing about Twitter is that you can use it however you want. For me, Twitter allows me to keep a few people around me up to date on what I’m thinking and allows me to interact with other local tech-junkies. It also gives me direct access to people who I admire, minor celebrities in the tech industry.

I highly recommend it for all my friends. Give it a go, and see if you like it.

About 10 years ago, the Red Wings and Avalanche rivalry was the biggest in hockey and one of the most intense in sports. It always reached fever pitch in the playoffs. That playoff rivalry is renewed starting tonight. While Claude Lemieux and Patrick Roy are both gone, many of the tough Red Wings are still there. It will be fun to watch these two go at it again.

Don’t get me wrong; I love Twitter, but it is constantly crashing. This causes my site to hang up when it tries to load the Twitter widget. It is time that the people who run Twitter to kindly remove their heads from their asses and get on the ball. I’m willing to take a few advertisements inserted into my feed if it means that they will upgrade the servers and Twitter will be stable. Besides, I’m sure there’s a VC somewhere out there waiting to get paid. For now, I have taken the Twitter widget off the sidebar. I’ll put it back up soon. You can see my Twitter feed here. I also recommend more of you sign up for it.
Update: Alright, Twitter is back, so I put the widget back. There are reports of ads, so hopefully that means more stable service.
