Engadget vs. Deutsche Telekom/T-Mobile

I’m usually a loyal Gizmodo reader, but Veronica Belmont’s Twitter pointed me toward this Engadget post, and I found it rather entertaining. Essentially, T-Mobile is telling Engadget that they can’t us the color magenta. I’ll have to keep an eye on this.
Note: For a good article about the Gizmodo/Engadget rivalry check out this Wired article.
Small video camera?

I thinking about buying some sort of small video camera for shooting quick videos when I want to. I one that’s small, but will shoot at a fairly high resolution. I probably won’t need a hi-def version, as most of these video will probably just end up on the internet. The Flip Video Ultra Series Camcorder is one that I’m looking at. Does anybody know anything about these things?
Site redesign
I found a new WordPress template that I like, so redesign is a bit of an over statement. It makes even simple posts look pretty. What do you think?
WordPress 2.5
I just updated to the new version of WordPress, and even though I’m a bit of a newb when it comes to this stuff, it went rather smoothly. I’m still getting used to the new interface, and I’m not real keen on the way my social links are listed with the new version of that plugin, but I’ll play with it and try to get it fixed.
Update: I talked to the developer of the social links plugin, and he told me how to fix it. It was a simple fix.
Weezer meets Grim Reaper
On MacBreak Weekly this week, they had Patrick Wilson, the drummer for Weezer, and he was talking about a video a friend of theirs made by putting “We Are All On Drugs” over an ’80s metal video. I had to go find it on YouTube. Turns out that the video they used is an old Grim Reaper video, which features their lead singer Steve Grimmett, quite easily one of the ugliest men alive.

Fred and Sharon’s Movies
I saw this over on Scott Johnson’s blog, and I had to share it. Is this serious? Make sure to check out a couple of Fred and Sharon’s other movies. I don’t know how they do their graphics, but they are unreal.
